THINGS THAT SHAPE OUR PSYCHE AND JOULES
Probably it is our psyche with which we are born that mostly carries
mystique but our energy has an ebb and flow about it. A joule is a unit
of energy as in electricity and, though our bodies have our own deposits
of such energy, it seems few people realise the forces within themselves.
Anyway the combination of my psyche and my joules must have had a worthwhile
effect when there was a mutual attraction between those of my late wife
Joyce and I when we first met on 19th August 1938. Obviously we sparked
something off between us which we retained over the next 67 years. We
kept together happily with some ups and downs until she passed away from
a stroke on 20th September 2005.
In retrospect we had personalities and aspirations which were complimentary
yet with urges in different philosophies of how we wished to be and to live.
We had clashes from time to time but on the whole the manuscript of my autobiography
records the energetic years, the tears and the successes. I realise now – after
three years of caring duties – that we were blessed with the ability
of being ‘assistance bearers’ to each other and though, sometimes
it was not obvious, the overall benefits for us both were indeed magical. The
majority of humans must have had these beneficial results from firm and faithful
relationships I am usually a private person but am now willing to ’lay
my head on the block’ and suggest that if more people were to disclose
similar circumstances humanity would have some tangible records to build up
a base upon which less fortunate people will be encouraged. So, where do we
go from here?
Take the following for example. The new Archbishop of York speaks of the merits
of the English as a people who should be encouraged to ‘reclaim their
national heritage and culture’ as written in The Times of London on 22.11.2005
and I almost agree with His Grace. But do we really have to be ‘loud’ about
our nationality, as are other nations, when there are many historical facts
that naturally do it for us to which millions of people attest. The British
Isles are well established in global recognition and in fact we can enhance
that recognition by setting worthwhile examples notwithstanding some wayward
exuberance being unleashed from time to time by those unconcerned about decent
conduct. We can also take support from the fact that the initial letters of
the four names of the peoples that make up the British are the Welsh Irish
Scots English to form the acronym ‘ wise’ of these islands. Personally
I like the display of the respective flags that are part of Great Britain and
am unconcerned that some may say it is not ‘politically correct’.
What nonsense unless we expect all other nations to hide their nationality;
identity is part of character and colour and parade of history.
The reader may ask what has all that to do with the things that shape our lives,
well, it is to do with standards and integrity and quality of life to be developed
in every land. Firstly, ‘we’re blessed with love,’ though
we don’t display it very much. Secondly, from an old song, ‘love
is what makes the world go round’ but furthermore, from my manuscript
about philosophy, consider the things we are missing or being affected by.
AQUARIUS, THE GIVER OF UNITY- FROM SHARE INTERNATIONAL

Each age confers on humanity a specific quality of achievement. Pisces,
the age now ending, has given to men the divine achievement of Individuality,
together with the qualities of Devotion and Idealism. These are mighty
advances in the long journey of evolution and have prepared mankind for
the blessings of Aquarius.
The new age, Aquarius, has , too, its intrinsic quality – Synthesis – and
in this coming time will, indeed, cause this divine attribute to manifest
its beneficent Unity throughout the world. This present time of turmoil,
division and separation will gradually give way to an era in which the
ever-increasing forces of Aquarius will reform their magic, blending
and knitting together of the disparate, unruly, parts. Thus will men
undergo an extraordinary transformation, greater and faster than ever
before in their long history.
For this to happen, men must respond correctly to the incoming energies,
recreating the world’s structures in such a way that they present
no barrier to the synthesising forces of Aquarius.
Hierarchy, physically present among men, will lend all their experience
and knowledge to this end. Thus will it be, and thus will men renew their
ascent towards their God–given destiny, demonstrating in all its
glory their unity with God and with all men.
Soon, the weakness of the present structures will begin to show itself
to even the most blinkered viewer. The cracks and rifts will become apparent
for what they are: the signs of breakdown of an outworn and decaying
order ready for renewal. The speed of that renewal lies in the hands
of men; they alone must give full welcome to the new and enter gladly
into the tasks of reconstruction.
Guided and helped by hierarchy, men will soon realise the benefit of
change and trust the wisdom of their Elder Brothers to see them safely
through the period of transition. Thus will it be. And thus will men
re-find the divinity now seemingly lost. They will put aside, at last,
the talent for war and confrontation. Learning to share, they will inaugurate
the era of trust. Trusting, they will co-operate in solving the many
problems which now face them and in grateful imitation of the Masters
will awaken to the love which has been ever present but unknown”.

GODLYANITY THEORY AND GODLYAN PRACTICE
The Godlyanity Theory states “God made all humans in worldly image
each of us containing a bit of God’s Spirit within which is our
own free will the blessing of which requires that we love Him and our
fellow humans as we do ourselves for betterment.”
Our bit of His Spirit is our Godlyness with which to practice our own
free will with love and a free mind. We are taught - from whichever religion,
faith or belief - to manifest the Glory of God within each of us, call
it our Godlyness, by which to follow in His/Her path towards brotherly
and sisterly Love. Our Godlyness enables us to realise the difference
between good and bad, right and wrong or what is for the best as the
means of contributing to His Plan for the betterment of all humanity.
Our love for Him and for all living things is often disregarded and cultivates
activities that deny us Grace and Peace. Our ‘bit of God’ within
our being is not fully expounded by parents, teachers and preachers or
by many among us resulting in self-inflicted practices that are less
than the best for everyone in this trouble torn-world.
Within Godlyanity people can regard themselves and others as Godlyans
after more widely practising The Five Ethical Duties of TASKS - Truthfulness
Accountability Service Kindness Synthesis which are the required imperatives
of all people. If the religions, while remaining autonomous, were to
expound The Godlyanity Theory, they would become partially synthesized
to the extent of more widely preaching and practising ‘LOVE through
TASKS’ as the prime means by which to bring betterment to this
World In Need. This philosophy enables the religions to signify their
support for Godlyanity by adding the suffix ‘Godlyan’ to
their title without implying they have joined another religion or faith;
they would simply be indicating their adherence to the Love of God as
their contribution to establishing Godlyandom on Mother Earth by ‘LOVE
through TASKS’ in His name.
TOWARDS A PARTIAL SYNTHESIS OF THE RELIGIONS
From The Lucis Trust publication “Ponder on This” page 294 “…aid
men everywhere to strengthen each others’ work. This will bring about
a pooling of spiritual resources and a united effort. Then there will simply
be one great body of believers…they will stand together on the same platform
of brotherhood and of human relationships.” About which:-
EDUCATIONALLY and CULTURALLY the segments of LOVE are in the imperative acronym TASKS for Truthfulness Accountability Service Kindness Synthesis - being humanly comprehensible- but selfish man-made minority power bases obstruct the pursuit of PEACE - Peoples Ethical And Cultural Excellence.
CAN WE return closer to God? Yes! The dimension of Godlyanity, based upon ‘LOVE through TASKS’ could rejuvenate the flagging influence of religious leaders. Believers who let God live within themselves become Godlyans to establish Godlyandom on Mother Earth for the betterment of humanity and all life.
TASKS for PEACE seeks to improve social conscience by supplementing all religions with the positive virtues of TASKS - expected before every thought, word and deed in human conduct and endeavour – to partially synthesize the religions after which they would remain autonomous yet uplifted by the new dynamism.
THE QUEEN appealed, in a broadcast to the British Commonwealth in December 2004, for greater tolerance and understanding, saying “it is vitally important that we all should participate and co-operate for the sake of the whole community.” Family units are basic to all society and the essential needs of children require a stable background by which to develop into loving adults with self-discipline and respect for the colour, race, creed and status of others. Extraordinary new efforts are required to improve human conditions and very few practical proposals are made from which people can feel inspired to respond therefore the wider use of the all-inclusive TASKS as cultural self-therapy is broadly expressed.
The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization,
based in Paris France, has almost a more important part to play in guiding
hearts and minds than the United Nations Association in New York. A change
of emphasis from political pressure upon the UN to one of educational
guidance from UNESCO is desirable to establish a ‘power with’ philosophy
rather than the ‘power over’ presently conducted by some
nations. TASKS could reduce much corrupt and sad experience from undisciplined
freewill and, when applied sincerely, would simplify the moral maze through
its GRACE, the acronym for Good Relationships Acquire Creative Empathy.
