GODLYANITY TO THE FORE
There are many names and titles by which the one force of life are
known and many names by which that force has been represented on Mother
Earth as with Buddha, Christ, Krishna, Mohamed etcetra even to the latter
being spelt variously. However, for the convenience of having one figurehead
to whom we can easily defer, refer and feel towards, from hereon God
will be that name.
In retrospect and particularly from my experience during World War 11 the hope
of survival is an intrinsic part of humans even though most of us seem not
to dwell upon it. I believe - now I am going through a period of recall as
we do when reminiscing - there seems to be a spirit within me that was high
enough to enable my energy, my joule, to enable my recovery from two occasions
when I suffered from ‘gunshot wounds, face’ (to put it in army
parlance) in order to lead an ordinary life. This is why I do not hesitate
to propound a little philosophy in my manuscript “PALS-Philosophy And
Life’s Stuff”. So - to write about God.
GOD IS NOT A RELIGION BUT A BELIEF
The multi-faith societies that have developed among humanity are in
sore need of an acceptable common ground upon which they can heal ways
of human living and the cultural concept of TASKS - indicating Truthfulness
Accountability Service Kindness Synthesis - become obvious. The present
divisive, confrontational and corrupt nature of the way of doing things,
with all its greed by persons and minority groups, shows an infantile
lack of responsibility and leadership emphasised in America on Tuesday,
September 11, 2001 - 9/11- even before and up to the bombs in London
on 7July 2005
Millions of people are denied their dignity but, more importantly, their
living conditions and expectations become a pitiful demonstration of
man’s inhumanity to man. Love and the exercise of enlightened free
will are the means to bettering ourselves. Love is preached by religious
leaders to obtain the missing brotherly and sisterly love but the preaching
needs to take on a new style to achieve it. The preachers could emphasise
the positive virtues of TASKS to supplement the variety of edicts among
them. TASKS -being pieces of work to be done - are some of the elements
of love held in common by all religions, philosophies and pursuits. TASKS
could aid all who continue to preach the faiths of thousands of years
to overcome policies and practices that cause division and confrontation
and heartache. God, our Almighty Creator cannot be pleased that humans
have formed bases of ‘power over’ such as religions and cults,
practices and philosophies rather than the unselfish ‘power with’ to
the advantage of everyone.
In Book 3, page 220 of “Conversations with God” Neale Donald
Walsch writes in the hypothetical voice of God, “it is true that
religion could not exist if the whole human race understood that God
doesn’t have preferences because a religion purports to be a statement
of God’s preferences.” Walsch continues talking to God, “and
if You have no preferences then religion must be a lie” and God
responds, “Well, that’s a hard word, I would call it a fiction,
its just something you made up.”
This response could be why the religious texts have many dichotomies
and misinterpretations resulting in misunderstandings. Some of the authors
and prophets contended having received their directions by Divine Guidance
and, relying upon their interpretation and veracity the followers accepted
them or, if not, they probably went to war. To that extent religions
are both man made and operated by humans to form their bases for ‘power
over’ their followers regardless of the killing undertaken, almost
blasphemously, in God’s name. Jesus was crucified by his own kind
presumably because he preached the kind of love which did not require
murder to achieve His purposes. Conveniently the crucifiers then persuaded
their flocks that He died for their sins. At a later point those who
believed in Jesus left the Jews to themselves and created Christianity
because the followers of The Anointed One, Christ (from the Greek) preached
His Law of Love, for our guidance, which was similarly advocated centuries
before by the great Chinese philosopher Confucius as mentioned by Dr.
J M Roberts in his book The Penguin History of the World. Nevertheless
a prime benefit from religion is the maintenance of faith in God leaving
hope and charity as our own responsibility and truth.
To reduce the misguided minorities of power-hungry leaders from perpetrating
and perpetuating their horrifying ways can the people establish new ways as
self-healing processes. Humans have been preached to in terms to make them
rely upon God whereas, in fact, we should be relying upon ourselves, within
His Love, through our Godlyan free wills after conforming to The Five Ethical
TASKS.
GOD IS LOVE THROUGH TASKS
The Word of God is Love which for everyday application comprises the practices
of TASKS, the acceptance and wider use of which, in every thought, word and
deed, constitutes a willingness by humans to move from the present sad, sordid,
corrupt and destructive ways to a more wholesome, healing and holistic compatibility.
The wider use of TASKS will encourage the strength-for-the-best in homes, schools,
leisure and workplaces and energize our feelings of freedom. Improvements in
human relations and conditions to generate an outlook unlike the present would
result unless there is a selfish purpose to continue activities that are UN-Truthful,
UN-Accountable, UN-Serving, UN-Kind, UN-Synthesizing or, do some not mind being
regarded or known as a liar or a cheat irresponsibly selfish or unfair; unhelpful
or unconcerned; separate from others and from God as in much of today’s
scenario of ‘what’s in it for me?’ It is up to us to change
these things to a world of Kindness. For example as adultery, homosexuality
and prostitution have always been in the human scene can we be non-judgemental
and just rely upon the regeneration of TASKS to heal or accept that consenting
adult souls are born to experience such ways? We don’t have to approve
or join them.
GOD IS WITHIN US
Many of us believe that we are blessed, at conception, with a little of His
Godlyness so it becomes natural and appropriate to regard ourselves as Godlyans
in Godlyanity to create Godlyandom on Mother Earth. Providing we practice TASKS
more widely, our Godlyanity indicates those who regard themselves and who come
to be regarded, as Godlyans. Such people effectively help to return humanity
to the paths of Godlyan imperatives and by so doing they renew higher standards
under God to bring us closer to Him or Her - with or without the intervention
of the preachers of the religions - to a renewed consciousness of His Will
in His Plan for our well being in the healing process of humanity.
Godlyanity through TASKS can be encouraged and spread in everyday, practical
terms. It would follow naturally that the infantile confrontations among and
between Christians and Moslems, Jews and Arabs, Hindus and Sikhs and others
would become outmoded when TASKS became of wider practice. Each of us could
define ourselves, for example, as a Moslem Godlyan or Christian Godlyan or
Hindu Godlyan or Jewish Godlyan etc., without loss of, yet enhancemen of, our
received faith. As with theosophy, which means any religion or philosophical
system expressing an intuitive insight into the divine nature, TASKS becomes
The Five Ethical Duties and just some of the paths for healing humanity on
the way back to The Almighty.
THE RELIGIONS COULD CONSTRUCT A BETTER WAY
Among all the man-made religions that allow or ignore violence for supremacy,
the various leaders, with their capacity for teaching, could achieve
a new impetus to their flagging influence but with infinitely more of
God’s help by adopting and propogating Godlyanity. Deferring first
to God rather than to prophets is a must but it will require great courage
and sincerity by the leaders to construct better ways. The Almighty gave
us our free will and Godlyness to use according to His teachings. Unfortunately,
humanity continues to fail itself as can be seen from the wars, crime,
corruption and unethical degradation that surround us.
Illustrations abound to show the benefits of ‘LOVE through TASKS’ that
is all-embracing. More of human conduct would become inherently harmless
to others. Each corporate entity could serve or trade relatively unquestioned.
Government bodies could improve the well-being of their citizens without
dogma or wiles. All human activity would be re-vitalised and improved
and a greater sense of freedom would ensue. Even if atheists or scientists
were to ‘prove’ that God did not exist, the projections through
TASKS remain valid as the basis of human conduct.
Love -being The Will of GOD- would be in wider prospect among humans when TASKS
becomes the prefix to all dogma, man-made religions and philosophies. Wider
LOVE would minimise much of the present misery from power mongering and conflict.
We need the use of our free will - which He will not override otherwise we
would not learn a thing - to express itself by our ingenuity and strength for
basic betterment. If we do not allow our Godlyness to guide and heal we become
lost as in a desert without signposts. We should enjoy our Godlyanity openly
for the greater good. His LOVE, along the paths set by TASKS and grace for
peace, is already available to us but we disdain and corrupt it.
TASKS can be quietly demonstrated by GODLYANS everywhere by the GODLYNESS with
which we are all gifted providing we do not misuse it for superficial glamour,
unaccountability, irresponsible practices and such misguided materialism that
prevails from the use of our free will.
Sometimes verse or acronyms are helpful reminders by which to effectively bring
to mind thoughts, words and deeds so here’s a Ph D (Poemised helpful

The Terrorists strike - we feel horror and surprise-
Humans have long lived a deceiving ‘good’ guise
More practice of God’s love is humanity’s chance
For bringing some sense into life’s crazy dance
Believing that God is within human souls
Prepares all Godlyans for more heartening roles
His Godlyness guides us to paths for the best
Invoking our free wills to stand every test
Requirements to re-kindle brotherly love
Are behavioural ways crying out for new moves
Improving our practices in life to forgive
Gives God more Godlyans to will how to live
Along healing paths of harmonising TASKS
In Godlyanity we move the evils to unmask
Exciting the future with everlasting grace
Puts humanity in prospect of willing the PEACE
THE RELIGIOUS IMPULSE
Some religions appear to be preoccupied with using emotional and aspirational
incentives. They have overlooked, that, for example, the founder of
Christianity saw this as a possibility when He pointed out that “they
could do greater things” than He because He was “going
to The Father.” He, in those words, pointed beyond Himself to
The One who was responsible for His Being and of all humans as the
way to the Higher Evolution; religious leaders could more widely explaine
and encourage an invocative appeal for humanity to return to God by
Love through TASKS.
The lack of leadership towards a higher regard for integrity has resulted
from greed and selfishness bringing about hunger and strife even in countries
with plenty. Bombers on 9/11 and Madrid and London and Moscow and other
places were taught by their leaders to kill in those areas which they
regarded as places involved in their own misfortunes. Who is to say they
are wrong in their perception however ineffective their foul and murderous
efforts? There must be bloodless ways for protesters to indicate changes
desired to the systems of the west about which they are protesting but
by a more persuasive leadership to which they aspire. Their show of impatience
for change is inhuman and useless.
Within this discourse are shown many instances of cause and effect which are,
broadly speaking, horrifying and beg some appropriate questions. There is much
evidence to believe that the religions could give us the impulse to follow
their teachings but can they do it? If not can the people themselves create
the impulse for betterment through the recovery of integrity?
The next essay will contain some proposals for a new impulse.
